Floor Manager

Pay Range: $75,000-$120,000/year

Job Overview: The Floor Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the restaurant's dining area, delivering excellent guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service. This position requires strong leadership, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to manage staff effectively while meeting revenue and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service & Satisfaction

  • Greet and interact with guests to ensure their satisfaction with food, beverages, and overall service.

  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.

  • Monitor table turnover and seating to optimize dining flow and minimize wait times.Team Management

  • Supervise and support front-of-house (FOH) staff, including hosts, servers, and bussers, to ensure service excellence.

  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily goals, specials, and service expectations.

  • Assist with staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for shifts.

  • Train new hires on service standards, restaurant policies, and menu knowledge.

Team Management

  • Oversee dining room setup, cleanliness, and maintenance to create an inviting atmosphere.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar team to maintain a seamless flow of food and beverages.

  • Monitor inventory levels for FOH supplies and coordinate with the procurement team for replenishment.

Financial Performance

  • Support efforts to meet sales targets by upselling menu items and enhancing the guest experience.

  • Monitor labor costs and work to maintain efficiency in staffing.

  • Track and manage shift reports, cash handling, and other operational records.

Problem-Solving & Leadership

  • Handle unexpected issues calmly and efficiently, making quick decisions to maintain service quality.

  • Foster a positive team environment, encouraging staff development and morale.

  • Lead by example, modeling professionalism and dedication.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a similar role.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of POS systems and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools.

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Certification in food safety and alcohol service.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.

  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.

  • Fast paced movements are required in all areas of the restaurant and property.

  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift up to 45 pounds.

  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
